How to get Europe maps onto a Garmin Nuvi 255 (US)?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 255 with the pre-loaded US maps. I live in Germany now, and do not want to purchase a new unit just for the maps. Is their a way to buy a “map pack” of Europe? Can you hack the GPS device? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
