Question about putting a decal on a hood after being painted?
Hello, I am taking off the hood of a Firebird and putting a fiberglass hood in its place. I am taking it to a body shop where they will take the fiberglass hood and sand, prep, and more importantly paint it (possible polish).
Can I put the firebird decal on the hood right away, or do I have to wait a few days?
How long will the paint take to dry? Can I get a carwash let’s say the next day?
how long until the paint cures?
I would let the paint dry good for about a month before you install the decal, and if you wash the hood just use plain cold water.
