Do you find BET* degrading the Black community?

It seems every time I channel surf and stumble upon BET, all I see is ignorance and mockery of my race. Everything about it just reads “stereotyping”. In a way, its not really a “black channel” since its owned by Viacom which run by white people. I believe that the whole reason BET was made is to make us look bad and degrade us. What do you think?
